The action on this guitar is truly exceptional and effortless. For $100 less, I will send the guitar in its original configuration and I'll keep the Gibson style parts (the tailpiece is especially hard to find and expensive). I switched the pickguard, tailpiece, and knobs to get the look of an L5 CES and will include all the original Epiphone parts with the sale. The woods are actually more beautiful than my Gibson's. I owned a sixties Gibson L5 CES and can attest that this guitar plays as well and sounds as good as my Gibson did. This one was built the very first year in the Terada factory, when Epiphone was working really hard to demonstrate the quality of the series. They were true premium guitars built in Japan, built to match the quality of Gibsons. The earliest Elite series guitars, later renamed Elitist, had the motto, 'Second To None'.
This is a 2003 Epiphone Elite (Elitist) Broadway, a 17 inch, solid spruce top, deep bodied, hollow archtop electric, 25 1/2 inch scale length.
